Linda Romine is currently head of our landscaping committee. Landscaping is the largest expenditure for the association, making up more than 85% of our budget, including water bills. We maintain all of the slope areas, plus Toby's Trail, Kendra's Park, and the association's more than 100 trees.
Historically, Red Apple ground-cover has been widely grown due to it's hardiness. However recently there have been many cases of a new Downy Mildew disease throughout the region. Capri has a small amount of Red Apple planted in our common areas, and you may have some on your lot. Please see "Red Apple - Downy Mildew" for more details.
The Capri Gardener, written by the late Evelyn Marsh in 2000-2001 is available online. Click here for a month-by-month informative planting guide specifically designed for Capri.
At our annual meeting January 2013 it was decided to form a committee of interested homeowners to explore options for improvements to landscaping on our common areas (slope areas). If you are interested in participaing on or in providing inputs to the committee please use the "contact us" page to communicate with the Board.
Please join the HOA Board and Landscape Committee to welcome BRIGHTVIEW (previously named Brickman) as our new landscaper starting March 2015.
