In Memory of Fred Stickel


Fred Stickel, a 27 year resident of Capri, passed away peacefully on Friday May 24th while surrounded by his loving wife Johnette and his family.  Fred was of immeasurable value to our Capri community and helped manage our water and sprinkler systems for many years among many other things.  He will be greatly missed.


Fred was a true gentlemen known for his kind manners and demeanor and enthusiasm for football.


Fred was born in Oklahoma City.  While working in the technical field in Los Angeles, he met his wife Johnette Ward. They were married for 61 years.
Fred is survived by his wife Johnette, his son, Erik Stickel, daughter Kim Stickel two grandsons Alex Baker, Micheal Baker and granddaughter Andrea Fultz.


Respecting Fred’s wishes, no funeral or memorial services will be held.

Welcome to Sunset Place Association of Carlsbad (Also known as "Capri").  We are a homeowners association  located in the town of Carlsbad, California, approximately 30 miles north of San Diego, with views of the Pacific Ocean and Agua Hedionda Lagoon. 


Our homeowners' association has been in existence since 1986, when our homes were first constructed, and many of the current homeowners are the original buyers.  Our HOA is governed by a five-member elected board of directors, and professionally managed by Lindsay Management Company.  Our grounds, including our walkway and Kendra's Park overlooking Agua Hedionda Lagoon and the Pacific Ocean are maintained by dues collected from the homeowners in the association.
